How we
delivered.
Brief, architecture decisions, what shipped and where it stands now — in our own words.
The brief
TrueWrld is a culture platform combining content, community and commerce for a youth-culture audience. The founders wanted a coherent product, not a stitched-together CMS + Shopify + Discord, and the brand had to look like it belonged to the culture, not built for it from outside.
Architecture & engineering choices
Next.js for web, React Native for mobile, Postgres + Stripe on the backend. The drop mechanics share a single inventory + queue layer with the regular commerce surface — we resisted the temptation to build 'a drop' as a separate product, because the moderation and CS implications of two parallel order systems were never going to be worth it.
What we shipped
- Content CMS with community features built into the same product
- Commerce + drop mechanics on a single inventory and order surface
- Native mobile app with push and deep-linking for drop alerts
Where it stands now
Live, growing and one of our recurring engagements — we've extended scope twice since the original launch.
