The brief
Wholosophy blends wellness content with an AI coach that personalises guidance to the reader's actual goals and history. The brief required serious AI engineering hygiene — Wholosophy is in a category where bad advice has real consequences, and the AI surface had to be defensible in a clinical-adjacent context.
Architecture & engineering choices
Next.js + Node + OpenAI + a vector DB grounding the AI coach against curated, expert-reviewed content. Token budgets, offline eval sets and safety classifiers gate every response — Wholosophy never ships a prompt change without an eval run, and never lets a response leave the server without a safety pass.
